The following is a sampling of cases that were resolved in the Pettis County Circuit Court from Dec. 19 to Dec. 30, according to information from Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Phillip Sawyer.
Donnie L. Friend, 30, of Sedalia, was sentenced to three concurrent seven-year terms in the Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two probation violation cases that were also related to controlled substances.
Justin L. Pruett, 25, of Sedalia, was sentenced to three years in the Department of corrections for resisting arrest.
Anthony D. Driskell, 46, of Sedalia, was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Tammy J. Despain, 45, of Sedalia, was sentenced to five years in the Department of Corrections on each of three counts of possession of a controlled substance (two counts of methamphetamine, one count of prescription narcotic) and two years concurrent for a felony bad check.
Austin R. Blankenship, 20, of Sedalia, was sentenced to four years in the Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was also on probation for a previous possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), which was revoked and he was ordered to serve the balance of a previously suspended five-year sentence.
Jimmy D. Brown, 28, of Sedalia, was sentenced to concurrent terms of 15, 10 and eight years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to three separate matters of distribution of controlled substances.
Joshua J. Gresham, 32, of Sedalia, was sentenced to concurrent terms of five years in the Department of Corrections for two counts of second degree burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle.
Clourisa A. Standley, 26, of Camdenton, was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Alexander F. Morris, 36, of Sedalia, was sentenced to seven years in the Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance (more than 35 grams of marijuana).
