This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 28

3:59 a.m.: Judith L. Denny, 49, of the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue, was arrested at her residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. Officers responded to a violation of a court order. Once the suspect was in custody and in the patrol vehicle, the caller and the suspect’s mother began arguing. The subject struck the caller, causing minor injury to the face.

June 11

12:06 a.m.: Brenden Michael Price, 18, of the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane, was arrested near the intersection of South Montgomery Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard on charges of driving while intoxicated, two counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, second degree assault, and minor in possession of alcohol. An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle hit a pedestrian and keep going. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Price.

June 12

12:06 a.m.: Brittany A. Reed, 18, of the 2000 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ingram Avenue on a charge of third degree assault. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. The female victim reported they were standing outside when a vehicle pulled up and a female subject got out. The subject then approached the victim and assaulted her and left the area. The subject was found by officers a few blocks away.

9 p.m.: Brandon Lee Martin, 26, of the 300 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of first degree property damage. A victim reported he was picking up a friend when a male subject came out of the residence yelling and threw a brick at the victim’s vehicle, causing minor damage to the trunk.

May 18

9:12 a.m.: Child abuse was reported between 2004 and 2006 in the 1400 block of South Sneed Avenue.

June 11

8:26 p.m.: A subject reportedly entered a residence in the 400 block of North Mill Street through a window and stole a laptop and Wi-Fi router, combined value of more than $600.

June 12

6:51 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of South Grand Avenue and West 14th Street. A black truck allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the victim’s vehicle.

June 13

12:08 a.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident involving a parked vehicle was reported in the 1200 block of East Fifth Street.

June 13

2:09 p.m.: A black Smith & Wesson Bodyguard handgun, 50 pills of Vicodin, 50 pills of Metformin and $200 in change was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 4100 block of Apple Ridge Road in Sedalia.

June 11

12:09 a.m.: Matthew L. Stephenson, 43, of Jefferson City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

June 12

5:14 p.m.: Ian M. Wilson, 22, of Rolla, was arrested in Morgan County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

9:14 p.m.: Remisha M. Porter, 25, of Kansas City, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of driving with a revoked license and speeding.

June 13

10:48 p.m.: Dakota R. Price, 21, of Calhoun, was arrested in Henry County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
