With the establishment of the City of Sedalia’s Yard Waste Facility at 28th Street and New York Avenue, citizens are now able to dispose of their leaves and associated yard debris whenever they desire. Since this site is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the City will no longer host a Leaf Pickup event in December.
However, if you or someone you know does not have the capability of transporting leaves to the Yard Waste Facility, a leaf pickup request will soon be added to the online Citizens Service Request feature available on www.cityofsedalia.com. This online leaf pickup service request will be available starting Dec. 1 through Jan. 15, 2016.
The City asks that your leaves be already bagged and waiting at curbside when you make your request. The leaves will be picked up within seven days, weather permitting.
