Mr. and Mrs. John Murray, of La Monte, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 10.
Violet Elizabeth Griffitts and John Murray were married Sept. 10, 1945 at the home of the Rev. Maxey.
Mr. Murray is retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. Mrs. Murray is a homemaker.
They have two children, Dave (Vickie) Murray, of La Monte, and Gayle (Ted) Jarrett, of Broomfield, Colorado; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
