Teens injured in accident
Two teenagers were injured in a vehicle accident at 10:50 a.m. Thursday in Johnson County.
Madison V. McDaniel, 16, of Pleasant Hill, was driving east on county Road 100, a quarter of a mile west of county Road 1821, when her vehicle traveled off the roadway, striking a fence and two trees, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
McDaniel and a passenger in her vehicle, Brenden A. Smith, 15, of Kingsville, were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Children’s Mercy Hospital. McDaniel was treated for moderate injuries. Smith was treated for minor injuries.
Reports indicate neither was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
