Man injured in I-70 accident

A St. Charles man was injured in a vehicle accident at 6:20 p.m. Thursday in Saline County.

Dennis E. Ganahl, 62, was driving east on the I-70 exit ramp to state Route 3 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a sign. His vehicle then traveled onto Route 3, becoming airborne before coming to a rest partially on the south outer road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Ganahl, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Cooper Community Ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment of minor injuries.

Woman injured in accident

One person was injured in a vehicle accident at 1:10 a.m. Friday in Saline County.

Melissa A. Grigsby, 38, of Slater, was driving south on U.S. Highway 65, 600 feet north of Golden Road, when she fell asleep at the wheel, causing her vehicle to travel off the right side of the road and strike a ditch, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Grigsby, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment of minor injuries.
