This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

May 18

8:21 p.m.: Michael Taylor, 46, of the 600 block of East Ninth Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Third Street and South Harrison Avenue on charges of careless driving, driving with a revoked license and resisting arrest. An officer attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle driving carelessly near the intersection of West Seventh Street and South Grand Avenue, but the driver fled. Once the driver reached Wilkerson Street and South Missouri Avenue, he fled on foot. Officers established a perimeter and deployed a Sedalia K9 to track the suspect. The K9 successfully tracked the suspect, who was found hiding in the area. He was arrested without incident.

Incidents

May 23

12:07 a.m.: A possible rape victim was reported near the intersection of Ham and Hogan streets. The victim was found lying face down in the road and had no recollection of coming to the location. She told officers she believes she had been sexually assaulted. She was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

May 22

10:48 p.m.: Tiffany L. Fatout, 41, of Bates City, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
