Lincoln 11, Smithton 1
The Cardinals won its second consecutive district tournament Tuesday with an 11-1 victory over Smithton.
Connor Spunaugle pitched five 4-hit innings and allowed five baserunners.
Aaron Yearout, Grant Eifert and Mason Sanders drove in two runs each. Derek Stephens had a 2-RBI double and drove in another in the fifth.
Sanders ended the game on a 2-RBI single in the fifth.
Lincoln (25-1) open the sectional tournament hosting Concordia. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday in Lincoln.
Northwest 18, La Monte 8 (F/5)
The Vikings briefly held a 1-run lead over Northwest in the fourth, but 11 Northwest runs in the final two frames separated the Mustangs from La Monte in an 18-8 result Tuesday in the Class 1, District 10 semifinal.
Northwest (16-6) host Santa Fe for the district championship 6 p.m. Thursday in Hughesville.
Connor Tichenor was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and pair of RBIs.
Garren Powell and Braiden McEachern had two hits and three RBIs apiece. McEachern pitched two innings of relief after starter Wyatt LaKemper ran into trouble in the fourth.

GIRL’S SOCCER
St. Paul Lutheran 1, Sacred Heart 0
Sacred Heart was eliminated from the Class 1, District 7 girl’s soccer tournament Tuesday, 1-0, at Clover Dell Park in Sedalia.
The Saints scored in the 61st minute from about 20 yards out.
Madison McClain stopped her fourth penalty kick on the year in the 34th minute.
The Lady Gremlins finish its season 4-9 overall. St. Paul Lutheran – Concordia play Lone Jack for the district tournament championship 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Lone Jack defeated Stover in overtime to survive the semifinals. The Mules scored in the 12th minute of extra time to defeat Stover.
The Lady Bulldogs finish its 2017 season 9-11 overall.
