Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:41 a.m. Sunday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jacob P. Ellis, 30, of Boonville, was driving south on Hedgeapple Drive, 100 feet east of Dogwood Circle, when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle traveled off the road and struck a portable toilet and a dumpster.
Ellis, who sustained minor injuries, and a passenger in his vehicle, Courtney L. Woodard, 34, of Sedalia, who sustained moderate injuries, were both taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for their injuries.
Reports indicate Ellis was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident but Woodard was not.
