This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

April 12

2:19 p.m.: Zachariah C. Sparks, 27, no address given, was arrested in the 3100 block of West 10th Street on charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. An officer responded to a disturbance. Dispatch advised the officer the subject had a Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County. He was arrested and a search revealed a firearm and methamphetamine on his person.

April 13

7:01 p.m.: Adrianna R. Martin, 20, of the 200 block of East Second Street, was issued a municipal court summons at her residence for destruction of property. A victim reported she was helping her son get his belongings from a residence when the suspect came outside and threw a toolbox at the victim’s vehicle. The victim said the suspect also broke the door handle off the car when she tried to get in. The suspect said she tried to get in the car to get shoes from the victim’s son and accidentally broke the handle.

7:32 p.m.: Tammy M. Gabmlian, 46, of the 1700 block of West Third Street, was issued a municipal court summons in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for stealing. A business reported a suspect left the store with a Dirt Devil hand vacuum in her purse. While an officer was speaking with the employee, the suspect called the store, saying she had the item and wished to bring it back. She brought the item back and was given the summons.

April 14

12:46 a.m.: Miguel Matacua-Aguilar, 20, of the 200 block of South Missouri Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol. Officers responded to a report of a father threatening to kill his son. The caller also told dispatch he had killed his son and the mother of his child. When officers arrived on scene the caller was intoxicated and argumentative. He had not harmed anyone. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail for minor in possession and was placed on a sobriety hold.

April 13

10:23 a.m.: A subject reportedly used counterfeit $100 bills at a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard.

Noon: Tools, valued at $985, were reported stolen overnight from inside a work truck at a business in the 300 block of West Main Street. There were no signs of forced entry.

Incidents

April 13

9:17 a.m.: An employee at a business in the 1500 block of North Ohio Avenue in Sedalia reported a customer used counterfeit currency to pay for items from the store.

Arrests

April 11

11 p.m.: Thomas L. Lee, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested in Boone County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

April 14

1:16 a.m.: Kyler J. Reynolds, 22, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.

1:54 a.m.: Ladawn R. Villarreal, 33, of Windsor, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
