A California, Missouri, woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William B. Mittenburg, 51, of Sedalia, was driving a semi-truck west on U.S. Highway 50, as he attempted to turn onto the highway from state Route E. An eastbound vehicle driven by Royetta L. Moore, 57, struck the towed unit of Mittenburg’s vehicle in the eastbound lanes.
Moore was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Mittenburg and Moore were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
