Bicyclist seriously injured on Route M

A Sedalia man was injured in a vehicle collision at 7:40 p.m. Monday in Pettis County.

Sean S. Burke, 44, was traveling north on his bicycle in the southbound lanes of state Route M when he struck the side mirror of a vehicle driven by Russell D. Dehaven, 57, of Sedalia, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Burke was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia with serious injuries.

Blairstown pedestrian seriously injured

A Blairstown woman was injured in a vehicle collision at 6 p.m. Monday in Henry County.

Loretta L. Kelley, 66, was standing on the edge of the roadway on state Route N when a vehicle driven by Phillip E. Hicks, 63, of Blairstown, backed into the eastbound lane of state Route N and struck Kelley, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Kelley was taken to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

California woman injured on Route CC

A California, Missouri, woman was injured in a vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Moniteau County.

Rebecca J. Lueckenotte, 46, was driving north on state Route CC when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road before striking an embankment, fence and tree, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Lueckenotte, who improperly secured her seat belt as a lap belt only, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City with serious injuries.
