Florida man killed in Saline
A Jasper, Florida, man was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Wallace W. Taylor, 61, was driving a semi-truck west on Interstate 70 at mile marker 63 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a mile marker sign before crossing the north outer road.
The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the road and down an embankment, rolling over onto its side before coming to rest in a culvert.
Taylor, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence by Dr. Kousha Farahnaz.
Two injured in Henry County
Two Deepwater residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Linda R. Seal, 75, was driving east on state Route 13 when he turned eastbound onto state Route Z. Her vehicle then struck a yield sign and crossed the northbound lanes, then traveled into the ditch, striking a culvert before coming to rest.
Seal and a passenger in her vehicle, Desiree R. Jensen, 20, were both taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Reports indicate both Jensen and Seal were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
