This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

April 12

2:17 a.m.: Trevor Lee Simmons, 21, of the 1400 block of South Harrison Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of South Grand Avenue and 32nd Street on charges of leaving the scene of a vehicle accident and driving while intoxicated. SPD received a report of a stop sign knocked down with vehicle debris in the intersection of South Grand Avenue and 32nd Street. Officers located a vehicle near Grand Avenue and Manor Court that appeared consistent with a vehicle that had been in an accident. The officer spoke with the driver, who admitted he had been drinking. He was asked to perform field sobriety tests and provide a breath sample. Based on his performance and the positive test result, the officer believed he had been driving while intoxicated, and an investigation determined his vehicle was the one involved in the accident.

6:59 a.m.: Koehn L. Isenberg, 22, of the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault. The suspect allegedly struck the male victim in the face, causing injury to his left eye.

3:05 p.m.: Angie L. Vinson, 36, no address given, was arrested near the intersection of West Fifth Street and Vermont Avenue on a charge of second degree trespassing. The subject reportedly entered two residences without permission.

April 13

1:52 a.m.: Melvin Leon Ward Jr., 32, no address given, was arrested in the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and identity theft. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance with possibly weapons. Upon arrival an officer observed a male subject walking around a vehicle obviously trying to not be seen. The officer made contact with the subject, who gave false information and was found in possession of marijuana.

Incidents

March 22

8:12 a.m.: SPD received a report of sex crime allegations in the 1600 block of West Fifth Street from the Children’s Division.

April 11

5:17 p.m.: Lawn ornaments were reported stolen from a front yard in the 600 block of East 13th Street. Reported stolen were a terra cotta pot, a porcelain pot and three hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil owls on metal rods.

April 12

3:23 p.m.: Two air conditioning units were reported stolen in the last two weeks in the 200 block of East Sixth Street. The residents noticed the units had been tampered with so they put a game camera near the units to attempt to get a photo of the suspects. The camera was also reported stolen.

Arrests

April 12

5:16 p.m.: Meta R. Baughn, 54, of Kirbyville, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and failure to affix plate on a motor vehicle.

April 13

11:33 a.m.: Rocky R. Rickey, 27, of Sunrise Beach, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.
