Two injured in Pettis crash
Two men were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Earl A. Aiken, 87, of Sweet Springs, was driving south on Pleasant Green Road as he entered westbound U.S. Highway 50, striking the towed unit of a westbound vehicle driven by William Diaz, 51, of Knob Noster.
Diaz was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Aiken sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.
Reports indicate both Aiken and Diaz were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Pedestrian hurt in Moniteau
A California, Missouri, child was hurt in a single-vehicle accident at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday in Moniteau County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Donald D. Mitchell, 63, of California, Missouri, was driving east on State Street, west of Marion Street in McGirk, when his vehicle struck a pedestrian, Connar J. McGuire, 6, as he was attempting to cross the road.
McGuire was taken to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City with moderate injuries.
Man hurt in Johnson
A Knob Noster man sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Zachare S. Rawlins, 24, was driving east on U.S. Highway 50, west of NW 250th Road, when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road where it struck a ditch and overturned.
Rawlins, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for his injuries.
