Two injured in Sedalia crash
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:04 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Moniteau Avenue.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Chaundra R. Shults, 33, of the 900 block of East Ninth Street, was driving east on West Broadway Boulevard when a vehicle driven by Evelyn Close, 85, of Green Ridge, crossed the highway in front of her. Shults said she was unable to avoid a collision.
Close was driving south on Moniteau Avenue and said she did not see Shults’ vehicle as she started across the highway. She said she was unsure if sun glare obstructed her view.
Shults was taken by her family to Bothwell Regional Health Center for pain in her left arm. A passenger in Close’s vehicle, Clarice H. Dove, 83, of Green Ridge, was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for unknown injuries.
