Cole Camp man arrested for DWI
A Cole Camp man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 10:15 p.m. Friday in Pettis County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gregory C. Burel, 38, was driving eastbound on 32nd Street east of Rissler Road. In an attempt to avoid striking an oncoming vehicle, Burel braked and swerved to the right, striking a MoDOT sign and culvert before his vehicle came to a rest in the center of the road.
Burel, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Burel was also arrested on a lane violation which resulted in the crash and failure to have insurance.
