WARRENSBURG — U.S. Fourth District Missouri Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler will serve as honorary host for the 2015 Missouri Business Conference Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. The conference takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in UCM’s Elliott Student Union.
Registration and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Elliott Union 240, followed by opening remarks by Hartzler at 8:30 a.m. She also will offer remarks prior to the noon networking luncheon.
Learning sessions are planned for 9 and 11 a.m and 1 p.m. Topics to be covered prior to lunch include team building and management; computer information systems and entry-level technology; accounting and finance; and customer relations management. Following lunch social media experts will speak on the development of social media strategies and provide techniques for successfully implementing and measuring the return on investment in social media.
Demonstration stations will be available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., where participants can gain hands-on experience with technology and obtain assistance with social media and software. A professional photographer will be available to take complimentary headshot photos for websites, business cards and other media.
