Otterville fell to St. Elizabeth 69-55 at the W-K Shootout on Monday.
Dakota Kemna led the Hornets with 26 points. Preston Otto added 17 and Drake Wilkerson scored 10.
Garret Lynn led Otterville with 18 points. Billy Albin had nine and Jake Neal scored eight.
Osage 46, Stover 30
Stover fell to Osage 46-30 at the W-K Shootout on Monday. The game was tied 18-18 at halftime before Osage went on a 19-4 run in the third.
Brenden Bauer led Stover with 11 points.
Hayden Drace had 15 for the Indians.
Lincoln vs. Concordia, PPD
The W-K Shootout games between Lincoln and Concordia were postponed due to bad weather.
The games, originally slated for Monday night, will be played on Wednesday at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center. The girls game will tip off at 6 p.m. and the boys will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tipton 55, Russellville 21
Turnovers and fast-break points led Tipton to a 55-21 win over Russellville on Monday at the W-K Shootout.
Tipton went on a 30-2 run in the first half, paced by steals from Destiny Dowell and Alyson Brant lead to layups to open the run. Maddi Eldringhoff added a 3-pointer and Annie Martin’s jumper late in the first made it 15-5 after one.
Tipton extended the lead to 30-5 before Russellville broke out of its dry spell with 2:55 left in the second. Two Brooklyn Pace 3-pointers made it a 36-10 Tipton lead at halftime.
“I think they did a really good job of pressuring without giving up driving lanes,” said Tipton coach Jason Culpepper. “That’s something we’ve been working on, not over-extending the pressure where they can get around you, just pressure enough where you pressure them into making bad passes… You don’t have to get the steal every time, just get the easy ones.”
Dowell finished with seven steals and took a charge as the Cardinals forced 24 Russellville turnovers. Brant had four steals.
Brant finished with 18 points. Pace had 13.
“When my team drives, I just try to get the ball and then if it’s open and looks good, I try to shoot it, hope it goes in,” she said.
Tipton (8-3) will face Bunceton at 7:30 p.m. Monday to open the New Franklin Tournament.
St. Elizabeth 48, Otterville 27
The Otterville Lady Eagles fell 48-27 to St. Elizabeth on Monday.
Hannah Benny and Dalanney Stone each scored eight points to lead the Lady Eagles.
Brooke Struemph had 18 points for St. Elizabeth.
Osage 54, Stover 21
The Stover Lady Bulldogs fell to Osage 54-21 on Monday in the W-K Shootout at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
Ashley Schroder led Stover with six points.
