A motorcycle/vehicle accident near 14th Street and Limit Avenue, before noon Tuesday, sent one man to the hospital. “There was a motorcycle traveling southbound in the outside lane of 65 Highway,” Sedalia Police Department Officer Casey DeVorss said. “(He) was approaching 16th Street. Traffic slowed down in front of him and he was unable to stop in time, so he went ahead and accelerated. (He) shot between the two cars in front of him and he was unable to get stopped in time, before striking the rear end of a car that was already stopped in traffic.” The motorcycle pushed the car forward, which in turn struck a third vehicle. The injured motorcyclist, for “precautionary reasons,” was transported by helicopter for medical treatment from the Sedalia Fire Department Headquarters on West 16th Street.
