Arrests
Dec. 18
1:43 p.m.: Shawn A. Parker, 26, of the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested in the 200 block of West Second Street on a charge of child abuse. A juvenile victim in the 400 block of Engineer Avenue had bruising on his face after the victim was reportedly abused. The suspect allegedly threw the victim across the room and slammed the victim’s head into a filing cabinet.
Dec. 20
1:39 a.m.: Ashley Jean Mullins, 29, of the 1700 block of South Hancock Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East 24th Street and South New York Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
9:08 a.m.: David Lee Soverns Jr., 27, of Smithton, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
9:52 a.m.: Christopher K. Miller, 22, of the 1600 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested at his residence on charges of stealing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:37 a.m.: Katelyn R. Roar, 22, of the 1600 block of South Carr Avenue, was issued a municipal court summons in the 3300 block of West 10th Street for stealing.

2 a.m.: Michael Reese Jones, 48, of the 1800 block of Carr Avenue, was arrested near the intersection of East 24th Street and South Marvin Avenue on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
2:11 a.m.: Misti Dawn Covington, 36, of the 700 block of South State Fair Boulevard, was arrested at her residence on a charge of assault. Covington allegedly struck a female victim in the face, causing minor injuries.

Dec. 16
2:14 p.m.: A Solaray Bluetooth speaker, valued at $29.99, was reported stolen from a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. An employee said the male suspect has committed the same crime four other times.
Dec. 19
3:04 p.m.: A check for $589.43 was cashed at a business in the 800 block of West 16th Street, but it was discovered the account on the check does not exist.
Dec. 20
8:05 p.m.: An exercise machine, valued at $600, was reported stolen in the 1500 block of East Fifth Street.
9:06 p.m.: The front passenger window of a vehicle was reported broken out and items were stolen from inside at a business in the 200 block of Thompson Road. A car stereo, valued at $100, and a subwoofer, valued at $150, were reported stolen, and an amplifier was reported damaged.
