Sacred Heart lost to Grain Valley 63-56 Saturday morning in the Marshall Invitational Basketball Tournament.
The Gremlins trailed by as many as 11 in the first half, but the team ended the half with a 3-pointer by Will Prenger. The Eagles outscored Sacred Heart 16-8 in the third quarter.
The Gremlins gave up six 3-pointers to Grain Valley’s Ethan Lasley, who finished leading the Eagles with six 3-point field goals.
Prenger led the Gremlins with 16 points and Trent Lyles contributed 14. They were the only Gremlins to reach double figures Saturday. Lyles was named to the All-Tournament team.
Sacred Heart is now 2-2 on the season.
