The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department will close Carpenter Road west of the law water crossing beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday for culvert installation. The location is southwest of Smithton in southeastern Pettis County.
Weather permitting, the project will take two days and the road is expected to reopen by 3 p.m Friday. Because of the distance to detour around this rural location, motorists are urged to pre-plan an alternate route and allow plenty of time to arrive at your destination.
