
A Sedalia man was arrested on drug distribution charges after a search warrant was served at his residence Monday.
According to a Sedalia Police Department STING Unit news release, at 10:37 a.m., Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies, SPD officers and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers served a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of West 32nd Street.
Upon arrival, one suspect was detained for the investigation, and later a second suspect arrived and was also detained. A juvenile was at the scene and family was contacted to take custody.
A search of the residence revealed a total of 62 grams of marijuana, hashish and methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia. On-scene interviews were conducted with the suspects.
Joseph A. Waller, 37, of the residence, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful transaction with a child. He is at the Pettis County Jail on a $100,000 bond, cash or surety. Information on an arraignment or hearing was not available at press time.
