A pair of Warsaw runners had top-25 finishes in the state cross country meet Saturday in Jefferson City.
Warsaw’s Dallas Larsen took 25th in the Class 2 boys race. He finished with a time of 17:43. Tipton’s Isaac Ashton was 80th with a time of 18:35.Stephen Kielhofner of Springfield Catholic won the race in a time of 16:13 and all of his teammates place in the top 30 to bring the Irish the team championship.
Lady Wildcats runner Ashlee Kuykendall was 22nd in the girls Class 2 race with a time of 21:00. Brianna Haller of Fatima won the race in 18:49 and led her team to a state title.
Smithton’s Katelynne Dedrick finished 114th in the Class 1 girls race with a time of 25:00. Claire Workman of Summit Prep won the race with a time of 19:21. Crystal City won the team championship.
In the boys Class 1 race, Stover’s Nelson McCollum took 106th with a time of 19:37. Riley Gorham of Hardin-Central won the race in 16:43. Hermitage won the team championship.
