This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Oct. 31

5:23 a.m.: Nekeshia Brown, 36, of the 1000 block of East 10th Street, was arrested at her residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault.

Nov. 1

12:40 a.m.: Mackenzie Westphal, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of West Benton Street and North Moniteau Avenue on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol. Haley Winning, 18, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal court summons in the same location for minor in possession of alcohol.

2:33 p.m.: John W. Hunnius, 58, of the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue, was arrested in the 100 block of West 14th Street on charges of first degree burglary and second degree assault.

6:13 p.m.: Travis E. Balew, 35, of the 1200 block of West 11th Street, was arrested at his residence on a charge of third degree domestic assault.

6:24 p.m.: Donald Ray Waltemeyer, 41, of the 2200 block of West First Street Terrace, was arrested in the 200 block of South Osage Avenue on a charge of second degree domestic assault.

6:36 p.m.: Pamela S. Hoskins, 53, of the 1900 block of East 16th Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and first degree burglary.

Incidents

Oct. 26

3:16 p.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 1200 block of South Massachusetts Avenue.

Oct. 30

10:24 p.m.: Unspecified items were reported stolen from a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

Oct. 31

3:34 p.m.: A victim reported being in an argument with a suspect in the 3500 block of West Broadway Boulevard when the suspect reportedly became physical. The suspect reportedly slapped the victim and threatened to choke the victim to death.

Nov. 1

1:43 a.m.: Three subjects were reportedly walking around a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard selecting clothing items, valued at $19.82. Two of the subjects reportedly tucked the items into their clothing and walked to the bathroom, where it is believed they put on the stolen items under their clothes and left the business without paying.

6:13 a.m.: A suspect reportedly arrived at a residence in the 200 block of South Moniteau Avenue and asked to borrow the victim’s cell phone, which was never returned.

Nov. 1

3:07 p.m.: A cow was reportedly shot in the 13000 block of state Route Z in Sedalia.

Arrests

Nov. 1

8:30 p.m.: Charles R. Baldwin, 53, of Garden City, was arrested in Benton County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the road resulting in an accident.

Nov. 2

12:02 a.m.: Joseph A. Pinter, 37, of Gravois Mills, was arrested in Morgan County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

1:15 p.m.: Kaylee N. Waite, 24, of Cole Camp, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
