Early morning accident injures resident
A Sedalia woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:40 a.m. Monday in Pettis County.
Laura E. Weisenburger, 33, of Sedalia, was driving north on state Route Y at Quisenberry Road when she pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle driven by Lyndon M. North, 16, of Sedalia, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Weisenburger was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
Reports indicate both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Green Ridge woman injured
A passenger suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 1:20 p.m. Sunday in Benton County.
Alice L. Liebel, 89, of Ionia, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65 at Cheese Creek Road when she pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Christopher I. Hampton, 29, of Green Ridge, striking his vehicle on the passenger side, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Angela R. Benham, a passenger in Hampton’s vehicle, was transported by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
Reports indicate all three individuals were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Hit-and-run injures driver
A Clinton man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:55 p.m. Sunday in Henry Country.
Bert A. Reid, 36, was driving east on state Route 7, one mile east of state Route AA, when he attempted to pass a eastbound vehicle. His vehicle struck the rear of the second vehicle, ejecting Reid, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Reid, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Golden Valley EMS to Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare.
