Sting Unit arrests four on drug charges

Sedalia police arrested four people early Friday morning for methamphetamine distribution and other drug charges after serving a search warrant in the 500 block of North Stewart Avenue.

According to a Sedalia police press release, at 3:40 a.m. detectives from the Drug Enforcement Unit served a “no knock” search warrant at a residence located at 512 North Stewart Avenue. Uopn arrival, the detectives made a forced entry into the residence where a police K9 drug sniffing dog detected the odor of illegal drugs. After a detailed search, detectives discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Additional evidence located during the investigation, revealed three subjects who resided in the home were distributing methamphetamine.

Four suspects were taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold pending official charges. Arrested were: Angel D. Thomas, 39, on charges of possession with attempt to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, three counts of possession of various prescription drugs and possession of marijuana; Everett “Frankie” Smith, 37, on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia; Cynthia A. O’Brien-Gibler, 47, on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of various prescription drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Robert D. Puckett, 26, was arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
