After three combined Final Four runs between Lincoln and Knob Noster, four teams and more than 15 athletes were named All-State athletically and academically in respective lists released in May.
Sloan Swearngin headlined Lincoln softball as first-team All-State after pitching more than 100 innings for the Lady Cardinals in its first trip to the Spring Season Missouri State Softball Final Four.
Lincoln defeated Kennett for third place, 8-6, finishing 22-1 overall.
Lady Cardinal infielder Paige Bybee earned second-team All-State with outfielders Deja Scott of Windsor, Addison Snider of Sweet Springs and Cole Camp catcher Tessia Balke.
The Cardinals baseball team finished 26-2 overall, defeated St. Vincent 9-3 for third place in the Class 2 Missouri State Final Four. Connor Spunaugle, Derek Stephens, Mason Sanders, and Grant Eifert were first-team All-State, while Jackson Beaman was an honorable mention.
Northwest landed four on the All-State list. Alex Breshears was named second-team catcher and Connor Tichenor, Rylan Chamberlin and Garren Powell joined Breshears as honorable mentions.
After helping Knob Noster finish fourth in the Class 3 Missouri State Final Four, Derek Bivins was second-team All-State and Justin Gemes was honorable mention.
Academically, La Monte and Sacred Heart softball each earned All-State team awards. The Lady Gremlins finished with a 3.61 team GPA, while the Lady Vikings posted a 3.51. Wellington-Napoleon had the best Spring Season GPA in the state at 3.87.
Emily Knoernschild, Alicia Davis, Alexis Rodriguez, Hannah Martin, Maleiah Parker, Eleanor and Lindey Oehrke each earned invidual academic awards for La Monte.
Jessie Schibi, Juliana Bongerete, Addyson Wright and Abby Smeltzer were named academic All-State for Sacred Heart.
Laila Azuara and Abby Nichols represented Otterville as academic All-State selections.
On the baseball side, Smith-Cotton finished with the third-highest GPA in Class 5 Missouri with 3.59, while Cole Camp was fifth in Class 3 Missouri at 3.32.
Evan Shearer and Jaycee Farrarr were Bluebird picks for individual academic All-State. Alec Luyet, Blake Grupe, Gavin Jones, Kyler Simoncic and Tyler Abney were academic All-State for Smith-Cotton.
Bivins, Andrew Ely, Chase Hagle, Connor Harms, James Schnorenberg and Lane Bolton represented the Knob Noster Panthers on academic All-State.
