Liam Lindstrom, 5, finds that his fingers and hands are very useful tools as he searches for dino treasure during the Sedalia Parks and Recreation Department’s Dino Dig hosted Tuesday evening at Clover Dell Park. The event had 21 young archaeologists participate in a number of events including searching for dinosaur eggs, the dino dig and snacking on dino dirt, before beginning to dig for dinosaur remains at the park.

The activity involved filling a plastic dinosaur bottle with colored sand. Cornell said they wanted to come to the event because it provided some fun activities for her daughter.

The hour-long event saw 21 children participate. A morning session had 24 children take part in activities sponsored by the Sedalia Parks and Recreation Department.
