Photos: Midwest Stud Ram Sale continues on the fairgrounds

A judge at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale marks a Columbia ram as the Reserve Champion, as handler Alison Knutson steadies the animal Tuesday afternoon in the Sheep Pavilion on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The prizing winning ram is owned by Duane Bauck, of Dew Drop Farms in New York Mills, Minnesota. The sale and show opened Monday and will be hosted through Saturday.

Conner Richardson, 12, and his grandfather Fred Richardson both get a little shut-eye before showing the family’s White Dorper sheep Tuesday afternoon at the Midwest Stud Ram Sale on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Conner, his grandfather, father Freddie Richardson, mother Jill Richardson and grandmother Wanda Richardson, all from Circle R Farming in Rosedale, Virginia, drove 14 hours to attend the sale.
