Man arrested for DWI
An Odessa man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 10:40 p.m. Thursday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James S. Campbell, 47, was driving a motorcycle north on state Route 131, four-tenths of a mile north of County Road NW 850, when his vehicle struck a deer in the road. Campbell was ejected from the vehicle, which traveled off the left side of the road and struck a mailbox.
Campbell, who was wearing a helmet, sustained moderate injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.
