This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrest

May 23

7:45 p.m.: Randolph Allen Maddra, 40, of the 3300 block of Cedar Springs Street was arrested on a charge of stealing from a building.

May 25

3:25 a.m.: Kalah D. Lindsey, 24, of the 800 block of East Fourth Street, was arrested at her residence on a charge of fourth degree domestic assault. An officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The male victim said while arguing he told the suspect he was going to call the police. The suspect then grabbed his arm, scratching him, which caused his arm to bleed.

2:01 p.m.: Casey Nikolas Wall, 28, of Clinton, was arrested near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Kentucky Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

3:52 p.m.: Gonzalo J. Esqueda, 36, of the 4200 block of West Main Street, was arrested in the 200 block of Thompson Road on charges of stealing, first degree trespassing and second degree property damage. On May 11, a business reported that on May 10 a suspect cut a hole in the fence around the property and stole about $4,000 worth of wiring.

7:53 p.m.: Summer J. Teeter, 37, of the 1100 block of East 10th Street, was arrested near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Osage Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

May 26

Christopher Howard Walker, 22, of the 400 block of West Main Street was arrested near the intersection of Clinton Road and Erika Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Dennis R. Stone, 63, of the 1300 block of East Boonville Avenue was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

May 27

8:19 p.m.: Preston Jerrell Poindexter, 32, of the 300 block of West Morgan Street in Sedalia, was arrested near the intersection of West 10th Street and South Grand Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and felony resisting/interfering with an arrest after Poindexter allegedly fled after a traffic stop.

Incidents

May 24

9:21 p.m.: A television, valued at $600, was reported stolen from a residence in the 1300 block of South Osage Avenue. The victim provided suspect information.

May 25

12:02 p.m.: A pellet grill, valued at $799.99, was reported stolen from a business in the 3800 block of South Limit Avenue.

9:25 p.m.: A hit-and-run vehicle accident was reported in the 2000 block of South Limit Avenue. A dark-colored SUV reportedly side-swiped another vehicle while both were traveling southbound, then left the area.

Arrests

May 24

12:28 a.m.: Dustin Ray Sattler was arrested in the 800 block of South Walnut Street in La Monte on a charge of resisting arrest and for an active Saline County Failure to Appear warrant after a brief foot pursuit. He was found hiding under the porch of a residence and was taken into custody without incident.

11:11 p.m.: Oscar Garcia-Morales, of Marshall, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Bothwell Park State Road in Sedalia on charges of speeding and driving without a valid license.

Missouri State Highway Patrol

May 26

6:45 p.m.: Kevin C. Rush, 19, of Independence, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of speeding, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 27

2:41 a.m: Robert M. Dugent, 46, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license and failure to drive within a single lane.

3 p.m.: John D. Gibson, 25, of Ulrich, was arrested in Henry County on charges of speeding, no insurance, no vehicle title and two outstanding warrants.

8:16 p.m.: Dalton K. Troutman, 22, of Independence, was arrested in Benton County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

11:12 p.m.: Kenneth J. Ives, 46, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested in Henry County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and speeding.

May 28

12 a.m.: Brent A. Roberts, 66, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

2:40 a.m.: Angela R. Mayzsak, 29, of Lees Summit, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in the right lane and failure to place a vehicle not in motion as far to the right as practicable.

12:43 p.m.: Ryan L. Ogan, 33, of Buckner, was arrested in Benton County on charges of theft, possession of stolen goods, driving with a revoked license, careless and imprudent driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor resisting arrest, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and and outstanding warrant out of Blue Springs.
