Woman injured in Saline crash

A St. Charles woman was injured in a single vehicle accident at 5:34 p.m. Sunday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kaitlin N. Marre, 19, was driving west on Interstate 70 at the 81.2 mile marker when her vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. Her vehicle returned to the road and then traveled off the right side of the road. It then struck a ditch and overturned before coming to rest on its left side.

Marre, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Saline County Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall with minor injuries.

Pedestrian killed in Johnson County

A Holden woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle at 7:06 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alice E. Ralston, 69, was attempting to cross South Olive Street at West Third Street in Holden as a vehicle driven by Mitchel A. Young, 17, of Holden, was traveling southbound. Young attempted to stop, striking Ralston.

Ralston was pronounced dead by Dr. Michael Watts at 10:20 p.m. at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Centerview woman hurt in accident

A Centerview woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6 a.m. Monday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Taylor J. Hazel, 24, was driving east on NW Division Road, east of NW 151st Road, when her vehicle traveled off the north side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

Hazel, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with minor injuries.
