The Lincoln Cardinals allowed a point for the first time all season but still have not trailed in a game through the first three weeks, outscoring teams 146-15 on the way to a 3-0 record and the No. 9 ranking in the latest Class 1 state poll.
The Cardinals defense will now face a Windsor team averaging 26 points per game. The Greyhounds scored 28 when the teams met last fall.
Windsor is hoping to snap a two-game losing streak. The Greyhounds opened the season with a win over Sweet Springs but have since lost to Christ Prep and Tipton.
Windsor is seventh in the latest Class 1, District 4 standings with 21.33 points. Lincoln is second with 47 points. Skyline leads the district standings with 59.67.
El Dorado Springs at Knob Noster
When they faced El Dorado Springs in 2014, it marked the best output for the Knob Noster offense of the season, scoring 20 points. Unfortunately, El Dorado Springs had its biggest night on offense too, winning 56-20.
The Bulldogs come into the matchup this season 1-2, beating Stockton week 1 before losses to Ava and Ash Grove. They have been outscored this season 91-52.
Versailles at Warsaw
Warsaw will face Versailles, a 1-2 team coming off a shut-out loss to California. Versailles has allowed 126 points through three games including 56 in a loss to Fulton.
Wentworth at Sweet Springs
The Greyhounds defense has steadily improved. After allowing 38 points to Windsor week 1, Sweet Springs allowed 32 in a loss to St. Paul week 2 and 22 as they were edged by Concordia week 3.
They will now face Wentworth, a team which comes in 0-2 with a 56-0 loss to Lincoln and a 48-0 loss to Southwest Early College.
KC East at Northwest
KC East comes into the game 1-1, having scored 64 in a win over Pattonsburg and 24 in a loss to Norborne.
Northwest’s offense has seen ups and downs as well, shut out by Southwest Livingston, putting together a huge second half to beat Appleton City and scoring 28 in a loss to DeKalb.
Northwest beat KC East 42-18 last year.
Harrisburg at Tipton
After scoring eight points in the first two games, the Tipton offense clicked in a 32-20 week 3 win over Windsor. The Cardinals now face Harrisburg, a team which has been outscored 128-28 during its 0-3 start.
Tipton won 46-6 when the teams met last year.
Saturday, 2 p.m.
Fayette at Cole Camp
It is Cole Camp Fair week which means the Bluebirds will play Saturday, a day of the week on which the Bluebirds have been unstoppable in recent years. Cole Camp beat Lincoln 48-9 in 2010, picked up wins over Sacred Heart in 2012 and 2014 and beat Fayette in 2013.
Fayette comes in 1-2, the one win coming week 2 over Harrisburg.
