American Legion honors Vietnam veterans

Dozens of Vietnam veterans were honored Sunday at the American Legion George Whiteman Post 642 in Sedalia Monday to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the war.

From left: Shirley McCrae; Mary Margaret Dale; and Ron Ditzfield received certificates and honorary pins for soldiers honored posthumously for their service. The honorees and relatives of the deceased were standing in front of portraits of the soldiers honored on the Legion’s Wall of Honor.
