Tipton’s boys and Cole Camp’s girls won the high school Kaysinger Conference Track and Field Meet, while the junior high Bluebirds swept the boys and girls meets Friday at Morgan County R-II School in Versailles.
The Tipton Cardinals collected 187 points, scoring 10 points in all but seven events. Cole Camp boy’s track and field were runner-up, totaling 156.
Isaac Ashton was winner for Tipton in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs. Tipton’s 4×800 meter relay team won in 9 minutes 28.31 seconds and 4×400 meter relay team won in 3:55.69
Daniel Zykin won the 200 meter dash in 23.86 seconds and 100 meter dash in 11.14 seconds for Cole Camp. The Bluebirds were winners in the 4×200 and 4×100 meter relays.
Keaton Gibbs and Ryan Dove claimed the shot put and javelin events, respectively, for Green Ridge. Gibbs won with a mark of 36 feet 5 3/4 inches and Dove threw 129.9.
Drew Apsher won triple jump for Smithton with a mark of 39-11 1/4.
Cole Camp won the girl’s side with a 51-point lead over Tipton. Smithton placed third at 114.
Kalya Middleton threw 35-11 to win shot put and 96-4 1/2 to claim discus.
Jenna Harms and Maddi Cook contined the Lady Bluebird field dominance, winning the long jump and triple jump, respectively. Cook and Lainey Williams each cleared five feet to share first place in high jump.
Tayler Gudde won the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs for Cole Camp.
Abby Backes won the 300 meter hurdles for Tipton in 52.97. Tyanna Busch finished the 200 meter dash in 28.67 and 100 meter dash in 13.62, winning both events.
