Kaysinger track and field play for conference

The Kaysinger Conference High School and Junior High Track and Field took place Friday, April 21 in at Morgan County R-II School in Versailles.

Full results were not available by press time and will be published this weekend at SedaliaDemocrat.com.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

LATE THURSDAY RESULTS

Lincoln 10, Stover 0 (F/5)

The Cardinals scored seven runs in the first and Jackson Beaman allowed three hits in five innings during a 10-0 Lincoln victory on Thursday.

Derek Stephens finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a walk and a double.

Corbin Reese had two hits, runs and RBIs each.

Northwest 6, Smithton 1

Northwest scored the final six runs of Thursday’s 6-1 win at Smithton.

Rylan Chamberlin broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth on a sacrifice fly.

Dallas Hammonds had a 2-run double in the sixth.

Connor Tichenor allowed one run in four innings and Braden McEachern tossed three scoreless.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

LATE THURSDAY RESULTS

Smithton 9, Northwest 5

The Lady Tigers tagged Northwest for three runs in the first and four in third during a 9-5 home victory on Thursday.

Audrey Williams went 2-for-3 with two singles, a run and a stolen base.

Alyssya Cason homered in her only at bat.

Smith-Cotton 2, Raymore-Peculiar 2

Smith-Cotton 10, Knob Noster 0

Smith-Cotton girl’s soccer went undefeated on the first day of the Smith-Cotton Tournament in Sedalia.

The Lady Tigers play Grain Valley 2 p.m. Saturday in the championship game at Tiger Stadium in Sedalia.
