WARRENSBURG — This is an open call for comics, playwrights, memoirists, poets, novelists, story tellers, composers, and songwriters to present their original works before an attentive audience at Old Drum Open Mic in downtown Warrensburg. The next session is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, May 4 at Java Junction, 112 N. Holden St. in downtown Warrensburg.
ODOM presentation time slots are limited to 15 minutes. Most presenters require only a fraction of that, allowing for more presentations during the evening. The program is free and open to the public.
To register your intent-to-present, please send us your name(s), your town of residence (if different from Warrensburg), the type of work(s) you will present, and the title(s) of the work(s) you plan to present. This will help us to promote the evening’s fare. If you’re new to the series, a brief biographical sketch and photo would also be helpful.
You can sign-up to present through the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Old-Drum-Open-Mic-446574305430560/. Old Drum also loves to have people stop by to just enjoy the array of original talent.
