April 4
3:42 a.m.: Miranda Jolene Bendoni, 23, of the 600 block of East Ninth Street, was issued a municipal court summons at her residence for illegal burning of solid waste. Officers responded to the smell of smoke in the 600 block of East 10th Street. While checking the area, they found a burn pile in the backyard of a residence on Ninth Street. The residents were burning a pile of yard and household waste.
3:20 p.m.: Gary L. Vandawalker Jr., 40, no address given, was arrested in the 1300 block of South Barrett Avenue on charges of identity theft, resisting arrest, fourth degree assault and peace disturbance. An officer conducted a subject check and the man provided a fake name. He was arrested for identity theft, then began physically resisting arrest and assaulting law enforcement. He was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, then the Pettis County Jail.
10 p.m.: Reuben J. Moore, 44, of the 1900 block of East 16th Street, was arrested in the 1600 block of East Broadway Boulevard on charges of leaving the scene of a vehicle accident and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run vehicle accident. The complainant told officers the vehicle backed into a fuel pump at a business, damaging it, then leaving north on New York Avenue. The suspect vehicle was located later. Upon arrest, the suspect admitted to having a marijuana pipe in the vehicle.
