Improvements at Vermont Park were well underway Wednesday afternoon as employees of JC Myer Construction Co. Inc., of Warrensburg, prepped the grounds for work on the underground utilities, the curb and sidewalks.
The improvements at Vermont Park continues with Parks Superintendent Dave Moore saying previously that he expects the entire project to cost between $700,000 and $800,000. An employee of JC Myers Constructions said Wednesday afternoon they will contract out the fencing, ball fields and the grass.
On Wednesday, an employee of JC Myers Construction uses a Bobcat to move dirt at Vermont Park. The revamped Vermont Park will include off-street parking, a new shelter house and restroom, two T-ball fields, basketball court improvements, a new futsal court, which will replace the old tennis court, and new LED lighting in the parking areas and along a new walking trail.
