Three injured in Johnson County wreck

Three teenagers sustained injuries Saturday in a one-vehicle wreck on Northwest 1300 Road, one mile west of state Highway 13.

The crash occurred after Hope M. Dahlhoff, 17, of Warrensburg, driving a 2005 Chevrolet, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. Dahlhoff sustained moderate injuries. Passenger Kennedy L. Heevner, 16, of Warrensburg, sustained minor injuries and passenger Haley L. Owens, 17, of Warrensburg sustained serious injuries. All were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS. All occupants in the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

One hurt in Pettis County accident

A man sustained serious injuries Saturday in a single-vehicle accident in Pettis County on Highway 52 at Maple Grove Road.

Matthew A. Barber, 28, of Warsaw sustained serious injuries after his 1995 Chevrolet left the south side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Barber was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by Life Flight Eagle. Barber was not wearing his seat belt.
