State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot has added four student-athletes to the 2017 roster.
Kylie Johnson is an infielder/utility player who played at Hallsville High School for Head Coach Chris Pemberton.
“Kylie is a high-energy player who will give 100 percent,” Talbot said. “Having a player with her leadership abilities up the middle and at the plate will be huge for our program.”
Gabi McGinty is an infielder/catcher from Jefferson City High School. She played for Head Coach Zach Miller.
“Gabi hails from my alma mater, so I’ve seen her play quite a bit,” Talbot said. “I’m looking forward to getting more depth at the catcher’s position as well as an all-around player who knows the game.”
Taylor Vaughn is an outfielder/first baseman who played at Fort Osage High School for Head Coach Kelly Sullivan.
“Taylor is a powerful hitter that any lineup would want,” Talbot said. “She is a knowledgeable player. I am excited to start working with her.”
Lauren Watkins is a catcher/infielder from Columbia. She played at Battle High School for Head Coach Joe Henderson.
“Lauren, like the rest of the 2017 recruiting class, is a wonderful person,” Talbot said. “She is a great catcher, knows the game and will add leadership behind and at the plate. The 2017 recruiting class will be a fun group to coach and to watch play.”
All four student-athletes have signed Athletic Aid Letters of Intent and will start at SFCC next fall.
