This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 12

2:25 p.m.: Gene K. Robinson, 55, of the 1600 block of Honda Road, was issued a municipal court summons in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for stealing. A suspect reportedly opened an HP ink cartridge box, removed the ink from the packaging and left the store without paying.

Aug. 14

12:26 p.m.: Robert Keith Swan Jr., 36, of the 600 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested in the 100 block of East 16th Street on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

1:45 p.m.: Destiny Dawn Rose, 26, of the 1200 block of West Sixth Street, was arrested in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard on charges of stealing and second degree burglary. An officer met with Asset Protection at a business and an employee had a female detained for theft.

6:40 p.m.: Nathan M.P. Smith, 20, of the 800 block of East 10th Street, was arrested near the intersection of East Sixth Street and South Emmet Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

Aug. 11

7:22 p.m.: A subject reportedly forced entry into the back door of a residence in the 900 block of West Sixth Street and stole a window air-conditioning unit.

10:02 p.m.: A black motorcycle with no visible plates turned from South Grand Avenue to West Main Street without using a turn signal. An officer performed a traffic stop but the motorcycle fled the area. After a short chase the pursuit was terminated near West Main Street and North State Fair Boulevard.

Aug. 13

4:54 a.m.: $300 worth of meat was reportedly stolen off a smoker at a business in the 1900 block of South Limit Avenue.

4:20 p.m.: A subject reportedly forced entry into a residence in the 700 block of South Lafayette Avenue and damaged and stole $330 worth of unspecified property.

Aug. 14

12:43 a.m.: A female reported she was pushed by a male at their residence in the 1500 block of East Seventh Street, causing her to hit her head. Officers issued the male a municipal court summons.

3:27 a.m.: A male was reportedly pointing a gun at a residence in the 3500 block of John J. Housel Drive and yelling he was going to shoot everyone. While the officer was en route, the man left the area in a black or dark-colored vehicle with front-end damage.

5:21 p.m.: A white female reportedly placed several items, valued at $284.98, in a large purse at a business in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue. A staff member made contact with her at the front door but she would not stop and left in a white late-model Chevrolet four-door vehicle.

6:06 p.m.: Subjects reportedly unpackaged a security camera, valued at $109, at a business in the 4400 block of Wisconsin Avenue and left the business without paying.

Aug. 14

4:55 p.m.: Alec C. Atwell, 18, of Kingsville, was arrested in Johnson County on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the road.
