Funk said the purpose of her 20-minute session was to quiet your mind, listen to your breath, and tune your body into what you are feeling. Yoga is used to lengthen the spine and strengthen the body’s core, she added. Funk, Renauld and Guffin are members of the Sedalia Area Yoga Teachers Association. On Wednesday, each instructor was teaching a 20-minute class at the Read Community Center.
