Thank you Sedalia

Dear Editor,

As I move on to further my sports medicine career, I need to reflect and give thanks to several who gave me the opportunity to grow.

When my journey began in June 2008, I had no idea how fortunate I was to be joining the Bothwell Regional Health Center/Smith-Cotton High School family. From the beginning, the Sedalia community embraced me and treated me with respect. I first want to thank S-C Athletic Director Rob Davis for giving me a chance to prove my worth as a certified athletic trainer. Another thank you goes to the front office members and staff of Smith-Cotton High School including all coaches, athletes, custodians and the BRHC Physical Therapy Department. Without each of you I could not have experienced this level of enjoyment and success over the past eight years.

A special thanks to the Greer and Zinck families for the gifts you gave me for being “on call.” I also need to thank El Espolon Restaurant for providing me with food on many “non-cooking” nights! I truly had unwavering support from the entire community of Sedalia. For these reasons and many more, I can honestly say I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to work and grow here, becoming the certified athletic trainer that I am today. Thank you!

Bryan Smith
