Class 1 District 15 softball recently named its All-District team.
La Monte had seven players named All-District. Sandra Arroyo, Maleiah Parker, Katie Patrick, Kameron Morton, Madison Harris and Vada DeMotte were named first-team. Lindsey Foster was named second-team.
Ashlynn Liebl, Megan Simpson and Caitie Slaughter were named first-team for Northwest, and Avery Powell, Claire Weathers and Kinley Shane were named second-team.
Bunceton, who finished runner-up in the tournament to the Lady Vikings, placed six on the All-District team. Skyler Shuffield and Rachel Lenz were named first-team while Jenna Kahle, Taylor Burnett, Kylie Heilman and Morgan Wieland were second-team selections.
Tipton’s Hayden Dillon and Haley Arnel were first-team All-District selections.
Audrey Williams, Brianna Eisenbarth were first-team Smithton selections and Sarah Loomis, Madison Brown and Magie Grose were named to the second team.
Otterville pitcher Natalie Shoen was a first-team selection. Outfielder Abby Nichols was named second-team for the Lady Tigers.
Addyson Wright was Sacred Heart’s lone first-team All-District selection while Annalise Mergen, Adrianna Belles and Jessie Schibi earned second-team honors.
Soccer All-District teams named
The Class 1 District 7 All-District girls soccer team was announced recently.
Sacred Heart placed four on the team and Lauren Martin was an honorable mention. Laura Wadley, Shelby Bain, Isabelle Wilhelm and Anjanae Williams were selected All-District.
Stover’s Samantha Lor and Leanna Baker were named All-District, and Matty Hinck was named honorable mention.
Kennedy Hurlock, Taylor Meeks, Kaycee Ashburn of Lone Jack were selected and Rylee Wiseman was selected as honorable mention.
Summit Christian Academy, who won the district tournament title game 4-0 over the Lady Gremlins, had five players named All-District. Kassi Ginther, Savanna Sallas, Zoe Oppriecht, Mady Harmon, Keeli Shearer and Avery Brooks were selected to the team and Maya Cofield was named honorable mention.
Sofia Thomassen, Aasta Fykse, Bethany Gillet and Kristin Lone were named All-District, and Lone was named honorable mention.
