Marshall man injured in Saline crash
A Marshall man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:16 p.m. Friday in Saline County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jamie L. Behrends, 36, was driving north on state Route 41 at Camp Creek when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck the bridge end. His vehicle continued northbound, striking the bridge several more times before coming to rest.
Behrends, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall with minor injuries.
Grandview man arrested for DWI
A Grandview man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 11:45 p.m. Friday in Henry County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Thomas C. Harding, 46, was driving west on state Route Z, a half mile east of SE 901 Road, when he failed to negotiate a left-hand turn. The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road, struck a fence and a tree.
Harding, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with serious injuries.
He was also arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
Chilhowee pedestrian struck by golf cart
A Chilhowee woman sustained moderate injuries after a single-vehicle accident at 12:02 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rebecca C. Grissom, 54, of Chilhowee, was backing up south on Pennsylvania Street, 72 feet south of East Walnut Street, when she struck a pedestrian, Linda D. Willcockson, 69, with her golf cart. Willcockson struck her head on the asphalt road.
Willcockson was taken by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for her injuries.
