Edwards woman hurt in crash
An Edwards woman sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in Benton County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jason W. Bardin, 34, of Sedalia, was driving west on state Route C, seven-tenths of a mile east of state Route T, when he slowed to make a left turn. Another westbound vehicle driven by Ryan E. Cason, 21, of Edwards, attempted to pass Bardin’s vehicle and struck the side of it.
Cason’s vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
A passenger in Cason’s vehicle, Maelea N. Sanders, 23, was taken by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for her injuries.
Reports indicate both Cason and Bardin were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but Sanders was not.
Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol and Sedalia Police Department reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
