The Tigers junior varsity boys’ track and field team collected 132 points, eight points behind Northeast, as runners-up Friday at the Glasgow Relays. The girls’ team finished eighth.
Desmond Echols finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.06 seconds. Brennan Akeson and Echols finished fourth and fifth, respectively in the 200m.
Shamar Pinkett placed fourth in the 800m with a time of 2 minutes 26.54 seconds.
Martin Zalpa ran the 1600m in 5:07.26, finishing second. Irvin Zalpa ran the 3200m in 11:10.91.
Viktor Tsymbal and Dalton Gear finished behind Northeast’s Tanner Adams in second and third, respectively, in the 110m hurdles.
The boys’ 4×100 relay team of Akeson, Echols, Sparks, Tatman won the event in a time of 50.49 seconds.
Emily Kindle finished the 1600m race in 6:51.31, placing second.
HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL
Smithton 7, Cole Camp 3
Smithton defeated Cole Camp Thursday in the Kaysinger Baseball Tournament 7-5 in the consolation game.
Four runs in the second inning lifted the Tigers past Cole Camp, who scored three runs on five hits.
Eric Culp struck out nine and allowed three runs in six innings. Nate Walsh recorded the save.
Lincoln 5, Windsor 1
The Cardinals won 5-1 over Windsor behind seven 1-hit innings from Connor Spunaugle.
Spunaugle struck out six, walked five and allowed three hits. He allowed one unearned run in the sixth.
Mason Sanders was 2-4 with two RBIs and a double.

Lincoln 8, Osceola 2
The Lady Cardinals plated five runs in the first Friday in an 8-2 victory over Osceola.
Shelbey Vandeveer had four RBIs, Aleah Paxton had three and Sloan Swearngin had nine strikeouts in five innings.
